Mari Milnar and faculty meet the high standard of excellence you should look for in a dance studio:
Mari Milnar-A professional dancer with The "New Orleans Angels" from 1980-1990. She performed with the New Orleans Saints and local artists: Charmaine Neville, Irma Thomas, Ronnie Kole, Pete Fountain and Chris Owens. She gained professional recognition for outstanding choreography by winning numerous high score overall awards at local dance competitions. Her students received special awards for best emotional execution, high energy and most creative movement. In 2007 and 2010 Ms. Milnar attended Broadway Dance Centers professional teacher convention for continuing education in NYC. She is the principal teacher and artistic director of the academy.
Amethyst Clement - 2010 teacher graduate of MMDA and currently attending UNO for education. Ms. Amethyst performed halftime in the 2008 Orange bowl and 2009 Sugar Bowl .She teaches pre - school and level 1 ballet, tap and jazz classes.
Miss Stephani Kammer - Founder and director of NTG Dance Convention and Competition. After earning her Bachelor of Performing Arts from Oklahoma City University Stephani began her professional career in New York appearing in regional theatre, industrials and prime time television. Upon relocating to Los Angeles she performed alongside many famous recording artists, most notably Janet Jackson. She has appeared in several video and T.V. performances with Ms. Jackson and served as assistant choreographer to Gil Duldulao on Janet's Rock Which U world tour. Stephani has co-choregrahed the Miss U.S.A & Universe pageants for the last 3 years. Most recently she had the honor of performing in the Michael Jackson tribute on the MTV video music awards.
Shannon Seput-24 years teaching experience. In 2004 Ms. Shannon received an outstanding choreography award from Co. Dance competition for her award winning routine "Visions" which was showcased on "Our Generation" with wwl T.V. anchor Sally Ann Roberts. In 2010 attended Broadway Dance Centers professional teachers convention for continuing education in NYC.
Griffin Collins- He is a graduate from New Orleans Center For The Creative Arts (NOCCA) where he received the President Honor in musical theatre. With 15 years dance experience, he has studied with Blake Cohely,Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Broadway Dance Center, Steps in New York and Marina Beckerman Dance Co.
Shari Tamborella-Ms. Shari has 14 years teaching experience and is a certified Zumba instructor. Ms. Shari performed on the "Our Generation" show with host Sally Ann Roberts and danced in the 2004 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Ms. Shari continues her dance education by attending various dance conventions.
